Whether you set your own goals based on your vision, or society sets them for you, they all have one thing in common: implications for how you progress. Life will continue to bring challenges, and when you are not prepared to meet those challenges within your personal, professional, and financial situations, there can be adverse effects such as depression, anxiety, low self-worth, lack of confidence, and a whole host of other mental health concerns. A small percentage of people are able to face these challenges with minimal effect on their spirit, while others struggle to do so. There are 4 top reasons that you are not making significant progress, but there is hope.

Question Your Belief System

It is important that you examine your beliefs, and if necessary, discard of the ones that don’t serve you anymore, because your beliefs have consequences for your values, and your values have consequences for your actions. Be mindful of how you acquired those beliefs in the first place so that you can better manage those influences whether they be family members, the media, friends, or gurus that you listen to for inspiration. If you take a closer look at some of those beliefs you will find that they foster discrimination and oppression not just against others, but also against yourself. Our beliefs are like anchors: they hold us down in ignorance, and stem our personal, professional, and financial growth.

Knowing And Accepting Who You Are

Knowing and accepting who you are will be crucial to achieving and sustaining your personal, professional and financial progress. For example, there will come a time when you experience loss in your relationships, health, career/job, or business, which will in turn affect your happiness, peace, confidence, and economic status. This challenge can either make or break you depending on the lens through which you view the world. If you have a good grasp on your belief system, you will have a greater chance of fast recovery from your losses.

It is pivotal that you not only know who you are, but also accept who you are so that you can build a solid foundation for managing life’s challenges. Your identity is more than your gender, sexuality, role you play in society, race, or your name in a book somewhere. It is the physical and the spiritual working in balance, and being fully aware of the connectedness between the two. Knowing and accepting who you are sets a precedence for your personal, professional, and financial progress.

Identifying the Special Gifts That You Were Given at Birth

It is important that you are able to identify your God-given/Natural gifts so that you can use your time and money to develop them rather than waste your time on money on something that you will grow tired of later. No matter how you imitate another person’s gifts and do them well out of practice, they will never bring you the peace, joy, confidence, and contentment that your own gifts were meant to give you. If you are not making significant progress personally, professionally, and financially, it is time to figure out why. Some people know what their gifts are, but because of belief systems that discriminate and oppress, they may not place any value on their gifts. Let this not be you. If you are reading this, you know that you have something that you were born with; it can be maximized, and monetize to take care of you, while you make an impact on the world. You have everything that it takes to make significant progress personally, professionally, and financially.

Maximizing What You Got at Birth

Don’t get your gifts confused with what you studied, or are studying in school; or what you do for your career/job or business. Your gifts were given to you at birth, like your arms legs and organs. School is just one method by which you can maximize your gifts. For example, my gifts are teaching and serving, and for me to teach and serve at the highest level, I had to go to school and maximize my gifts. I teach and serve in every aspect of my life. As the founder of Spiritual Life Consultant, I teach people how to transform their pain, grief, and loss into joy, peace, and prosperity. You were born with everything that you need to thrive and be successful in life.

Therefore, it is imperative that you re-evaluate your beliefs, build self-awareness around who you are, and identify what your God-given/Natural gifts are, so you can maximize and monetize them to maintain your personal, professional, and financial progress. This tool can help you to Identify your God-given/Natural gifts and get you started.
